65-Year-Old Woman Killed in Multi-Car Accident near Barton Street

MEAD VALLEY, CA (February 4, 2022) Demiris Reid was killed early Friday morning, in a multi-vehicle crash on Cajalco Road.

Per police reports, the incident occurred around 5:05 a.m., just west of Barton Street. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

According to authorities, three vehicles were involved in the collision. However, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear.

Eventually, the Riverside County Fire Department arrived and extricated an unconscious female victim from her car. Due to the extent of her condition, responders declared 65-year-old Reid dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported another patient to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley for further treatment.

At this time, Mead Valley Officials are still working to identify further circumstances surrounding the multi-vehicle crash.
