Multiple Injured after Deadly Fiery Crash on Bryn Mawr Avenue
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 11, 2023) – Wednesday evening, Defon Muirente was arrested following a deadly fiery car accident that killed one person. The incident happened on July 5th just before 6:40 p.m. at the intersection of Rancho Drive and Bryn Mawr Avenue. According to the LVMPD deputies, a 2013 Dodge Charger and a 2005 Buick LeSabre collided causing the deadly accident. Investigation showed that Muirente was traveling at high speed in the northbound Rancho when he crashed into the Buick and attempted to turn onto southbound Rancho from westbound Glen Heather Way. Furthermore, the 72-year-old driver of the Buick suffered life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, the woman succumbed to her injuries and died. Meanwhile, Muirente and his three female passengers suffered minor injuries and were given medical attention. Consequently, Muirente showed no signs of impairment. Authorities charged Muirente with suspicion of reckless driving resulting in death, driving without a valid license, and operating a vehicle with expired registration or plates.
