Koflows is a multi-talented Korean musician based in New York City. Since the beginning of his career, he has worked without being signed to a label. Dj Whookid, 50 Cent’s DJ, picked up and co-signed his previous two singles, “Rollin Up” and “Reason,” which have been spinning on Sirius XM radio.

After seeing a freestyle cypher at a party in Brooklyn, New York, he became interested in music. This led to him meeting Kanye West’s producer, Mike Dean, who co-signed him and invited him to play with Rick Ross, A$AP Ferg, Swae Lee, Desiigner, and others at his M.W.A pop-up shop. He eventually moved to Hawaii to work on his music after opening gigs for Jhene Aiko Tyga, Madeintyo, and other artists at a festival there.

Dr Chill, Jhene Aiko’s father, who is featured on many of her major albums and serves as Koflows’ mentor and close friend, gave him the opportunity to work with him shortly after he relocated to LA. Many of Koflows’ songs include Dr Chill as a guest artist and vice versa.

In terms of personal or professional growth, he has expanded his sound to become more versatile and have a worldwide approach in his work. From just starting to learn how to freestyle to making actual songs and records in a short time was the result of working extremely hard and staying focused on believing in his visions. While counting milestones, he says, building the confidence to express himself has been one of the biggest milestones he will always value and continue to keep growing. Becoming sustainable off his life has also been a big milestone after a lot of rough experiences on this journey of being an artist.
