Vehicle Crash near State Route 78 Leaves One Dead, One Injured
BRAWLEY, CA (June 8, 2022) – Sunday morning, a two-vehicle collision on Butters Road left one dead and Dean Acevedo injured, police said.
On June 5th, at around 7:05 a.m. two vehicles collided on Butters Road near State Route 78 for reasons unknown.
Furthermore, the vehicles involved were identified as a Hyundai Elantra and Toyota Tacoma.
Consequently, the Tacoma hit the Elantra causing its driver to be ejected onto the roadway. In addition, the Hyundai driver who was ejected was pronounced dead at the scene due to the extent of their injuries.
Moreover the driver of the Tacoma, identified as 20-year-old Dean Acevedo, was hospitalized for treatment of minor injuries.
Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties, but has since reopened.
An active investigation is currently underway, more information will be released once available.
