One Killed in Fatal Multi-Vehicle Accident near State Route 4

HERCULES, CA (October 5, 2021) – Early Sunday morning, one person was killed in a deadly three-car collision on Interstate 80.

The crash was reported around 1:25 a.m., on the westbound lanes of the highway near State Route 4. Emergency crews responded to the area shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

According to California Highway Patrol, a Honda Accord collided with a Toyota Yaris on westbound I-80. As a result, both cars spun out of control, leaving the Honda immobilized on the highway, where it was hit by a Lexus RX350.

The driver of the Honda, who was the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead on scene.

In addition, two individuals inside the Toyota and the driver of the Lexus received minor injuries.

No further information has been released at this time. However, the accident is still currently being investigated.
