1 Killed, 1 Hurt in Solo-Vehicle Collision on Winding Way

SACRAMENTO, CA (January 21, 2022) – One person died and another was hurt after a single-car accident on Minnesota Avenue, Saturday.

The crash happened around 2:00 a.m., near the intersection of Minnesota Avenue and Winding Way.

According to reports, a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed of rate crashed into a tree. The impact of the crash sent the car engine out of the hood and burst into flames.

Fire crews and officials extricated one person out of the vehicle, and unfortunately, that victim died from their injuries.

Meanwhile, medics discovered another injured person involved. At this time, authorities have not released to the identities of the victims involved.

Authorities did not release any additional information. However, the cause of the accident and factors involved remain under investigation.
