Authorities Search for Suspect after Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash near Emerald Drive

VISTA, CA (November 16, 2021) – Authorities are searching for the suspect of a hit-and-run collision on West Vista Way, Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened around 4:00 p.m., near Boomers Vista, a few blocks east of Emerald Drive. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, officers located a silver Mazda 6 wedged into an EDCO trash truck. However, the events that led to the accident remain unknown.

First responders located a passenger inside the Mazda deceased at the scene. However, police did not spot the driver of the car.
