Traffic Collision near Junction Road Left 58-Year-Old Rider Dead

BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 9, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, a motorcycle crash on China Grade Loop claimed the life of David Wayne Horsley.

The collision happened around 3:15 p.m. near Junction Road in Oildale.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2012 Ford F-250 made a left turn into the path of a 2000 Harley Davidson on China Grade Loop. The motorcyclist, Horsley, attempted to pass the truck on the left but ended up colliding with the truck. Horsley was severely injured in the accident.

First responders arrived to the scene shortly after and pronounced  58-year-old David Wayne Horsley of Bakersfield dead at the scene.
