Vehicle Accident on Panama Lane Left Two Injured, One Arrested

BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 26, 2022) – On Wednesday, authorities arrested David Mendoza following DUI Crash in Colony Street, police said.

According to the report, a vehicle struck a BPD K-9 patrol vehicle turning south onto Colony Street from Panama Lane.

Subsequently, the Bakersfield Police identified the driver as 31-year-old Mendoza.

Investigators said Mendoza drove under the influence and was in possession of narcotics.

Meanwhile, a female passenger in his vehicle received minor injuries.

In addition, the BPD officer also sustained minor injuries while the K-9 unit remained uninjured.
