Pedestrian Accident near Soledad Canyon Road Resulted in Fatality

CANYON COUNTY, CA (March 1, 2023) – Sunday morning, a pedestrian-auto collision on Sierra Highway left David Lopez Martin with fatal injuries.

Officers responded to the incident around 12:46 a.m. near Soledad Canyon Road in the Canyon Country neighborhood.

Upon arrival, units learned that multiple vehicles hit a man along Sierra Highway for unknown reasons.

Tragically, the responding emergency personnel declared the victim dead at the scene. He was later identified as 27-year-old David Lopez Martin by the corners office.

Meanwhile, all motorists involved in the incident stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

Furthermore, a large portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
