Man, Dog Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision near South Pecos Road
LAS VEGAS, NV (August 23, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a pedestrian accident at East Flamingo Road claimed the life of David Holtslander.
The incident happened around 3:50 a.m., along the intersection of East Flamingo Road and South Pecos Road on August 15th.
Officers say a man was walking with his dog when the dog ran into the street and he chased after it. There, the driver of a 2023 Nissan Kicks struck the man and his dog.
Medics arrived and transported 58-year-old Holtslander to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. In addition, the dog did not survive the collision.
Meanwhile, the Nissan driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
