Three Killed in Wrong-Way Collision near Franklin Road

MERCED, CA (August 11, 2022) – Sunday morning, a head-on crash on Santa Fe Drive claimed the lives of David Faulkner, Jenny Faulkner, and Amandeep Toor.

The accident occurred just before 6:00 a.m., near the intersection of Santa Fe Drive and Franklin Road.

Investigators say the incident involved a Jeep Patriot, driven by a David and a 2017 Nissan Rogue, driven by Amandeep.

According to reports, one of the vehicles crossed into oncoming lanes and collided head-on with the other car.

Due to the impact of the collision, both drivers and passenger 33-year-old Jenny were pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers were later identified as 33-year-old David, of Merced and 38-year-old Amandeep, of Atwater.

Following preliminary investigations, police suspect that alcohol played a factor. However, further circumstances surrounding the deadly crash remain unclear.
