Vera Mims Strikes and Injures David Espinoza in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ (June 15, 2021) – Friday on May 28, David Espinoza was injured and Vera Mims was arrested after a hit-and-run crash near 24th Street.

According to reports, Espinoza was with his son Aiden walking at the park on Wood Street, just north of Broadway. Suddenly, a Honda Civic driven by Mims struck David.

Following the impact, Mims fled the scene before authorities arrived. Moreover, before the impact Espinoza pushed his son out of the path to prevent him from being injured.

Meanwhile, David remained in a coma after being transported to the hospital. His ankles were shattered, and he suffered a broken skull.

Mims was discovered after the collision, but investigators have not revealed how they discovered her.
