Fatal Hit-And-Run in Escondido Left Elderly Man Killed

ESCONDIDO, CA (October 14, 2021) – Police are working to identify the hit-and-run suspect killed David Cisneros on Saturday night.

The fatal incident occurred around 9:30 p.m., when a white Mercedes-Benz sedan struck an elderly person crossing East Valley Parkway near North Citrus Avenue.

Eventually, paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the victim to Palomar Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Later on, the Medical Examiner’s Officer identified the victim as 72-year-old David Cisneros, of Escondido. He was said to be riding an electric scooter at the time.

According to the police, the hit-and-run driver fled and possibly had front-end and right-side damage on the Mercedes.
