Two Drivers Injured in DUI Car Collision near Akrich Street

REDDING, CA (July 20, 2022) – Sunday morning, officials arrested Darin Rogers after a DUI crash on Oasis Road.

The incident occurred around 8:09 a.m. at the intersection of Oasis Road and Akrich Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound Dodge Ram collided with a westbound Ford Focus at the intersection.

Responding paramedics rushed the Ford driver to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.

Meanwhile, officials stated that the pickup driver, 61-year-old Rogers, displayed signs of intoxication. Police arrested him and booked him into the Shasta County Jail on multiple DUI charges.

Redding police did not release any additional information at this time, however, an active investigation is ongoing.
