56-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Crash near Bodle Road in South Kitsap

Port Orchard, WA (March 4, 2021) – Friday night, 56-year-old Daria Klos of Port Orchard, was killed in a multi-car collision on Sedgwick Road.

Washington Highway Patrol arrived to the scene around 6:00 pm., after receiving multiple dispatch calls. According to reports, three vehicles collided.

Investigators say Klos was driving her 2006 Toyota 4Runner, when she suddenly stopped in the eastbound lanes. She then got out of the vehicle and stood in the middle of the roadway attempting to stop traffic.

Shortly after, Klos was struck by her car after it was hit by an eastbound 2009 Hyundai Elantra. After that, the 2009 Hyundai Elantra spun and collided with a westbound 2009 Ford Taurus.

Paramedics transported Klos to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and was later pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, the Elantra driver was described as a 74-year-old Orchard man. He was sent to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The driver of a 2009 Ford Taurus, a 29-year-old Tacoma man, was not injured.

Once available, more information will be provided.
