DAOU Wine Tasting At 9,600 Feet and Seltzerland In Long Beach – Here’s What’s Popping Up

After a brief hiatus, Byrdie’s Rotisserie has reopened its doors for dine-in, takeout, and delivery in West Hollywood. The chicken shack will continue donating a portion of each meal, including rotisserie chicken plates, bowls, sandwiches and sides, sold to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

Starting on Saturday, January 15 on the outdoor patio of the Godfrey Hotel’s retro restaurant ALK, they’ll be launching a new Bark & Brunch monthly series for guests, visitors and furry friends. Featuring a wide selection of plant-based and vegan options, as well as premium fish and meat dishes utilizing California’s bright and fresh seasonal produce, the brunch will offer complimentary “cocktails” and swag for pet guests on the third Saturday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Expect Wag to the Left – organic short rib bone broth, filtered water, and carrot diamonds, and the Bring Me Cesar Milan – organic chicken stock, filtered water, and beet hearts.

If you’re heading to Mammoth for all that glorious snow, there’s a new wine lounge at 9,600 feet. The  DAOU Lounge at Mammoth is located in McCoy Station and is open  for tastings, as well as full-glass pours for purchase. Ski in or take the Panorama Gondola across from Main Lodge starting on Friday, January 21 on weekends through Sunday, February 13.

The nationally traveling hard seltzer fest, Seltzerland, heads to Long Beach at the Bixby Village Golf Course on Saturday, February 5. Brands large and small will participate, including White Claw, Mike’s Hard Lemonade Seltzer, Vizzy, Topo Chico Hard Seltzer, Playamar and Sparking Ice Spiked.  Sprinkles  has teamed up with astrology app  Sanctuary, for The Astrology series launching Monday, January 24, which will feature celestial-inspired cupcakes playfully crafted by Sprinkles with Sanctuary as their expert astrology guide to celebrate each zodiac sign in 2022. At the start of each zodiac sign, Sprinkles will unveil a corresponding cupcake. Aquarius  kicks off the series with a decadent miso caramel flavor – a caramel cake, filled with miso-spiked caramel, and finished with a cream cheese frosting.
