During its brief existence, Minimal Effort has quietly emerged as one of the best dance-music event series in town, throwing quarterly parties at cool DTLA locations like the Belasco and Lot 613 that lean heavily on the kind of underground house and techno sounds you used to be able to hear only in sketchy warehouses or with a plane ticket to Berlin. And its just-announced New Year's Eve lineup looks like the best yet.

Headlining the festivities at the Belasco will be Detroit techno flame-keeper Jimmy Edgar and Miami-via-Berlin rising star Danny Daze, whose sexy, sinister sound combines the best elements of techno, electro, Italo disco and Miami bass. Add to the mix Cologne tech-house duo Andhim, Dirtybird Records' J. Phlip and local legends Marques Wyatt and Droog, and this party is pretty much guaranteed to get 2016 off to an excellent start. See flier below for the full lineup (so far — more DJs will be announced later).

Tickets to Minimal Efffort New Year's Eve are available now via Resident Advisor. See you on the dance floor!
