Pedestrian Collision on 101 Freeway Kills 32-Year-Old Danielle Yates

HOLLYWOOD, CA (October 1, 2021) – Early Thursday morning, 32-year-old Danielle Yates was killed in a pedestrian crash on the 101 Freeway.

Around 2:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 101 Freeway near Cahuenga Boulevard after receiving reports of a pedestrian vs. vehicle collision.

According to reports, Yates was fatally struck by a passing vehicle. However, the events leading up to the crash remain unclear.

Additionally the vehicle did remain at the scene to cooperate with authorities.

The surrounding area of the Freeway closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Although, the road has since reopened to traffic.
