48-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Collision on Craycroft Road

TUCSON, AZ (January 11, 2023) – Wednesday night, Daniel Xavier Berjac was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Silver Street.

The deadly incident happened around 8:30 p.m., near Craycroft Road on January 4th.

According to reports, Berjac was crossing mid-block outside of a marked crosswalk when the driver of a 202 Toyota Highlander struck him.

Due to the impact of the collision, medics pronounced 48-year-old Berjac dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Emergency crews also closed off the surrounding area for a brief time while they cleared the scene.

Following preliminary duties, no arrests were made. However, an active investigation to determine more information is still currently underway.
