35-Year-Old Man Killed in Deadly Crash near Elkhorn Avenue

FRESNO, CA (March 25, 2021) – Sunday night, 35-year-old Daniel Ventura was killed, and three were injured in a crash on Fowler Avenue.

Officers say the accident happened just after 11:30 p.m., near Elkhorn Avenue. The involved vehicle was later described as a Chevy SUV.

For reasons not yet known, the driver veered off the road, rolled down an embankment, and into an orchard. As a result, all passengers were thrown from the car.

Crews located the damaged SUV near a high-speed rail construction area. Medics sat at least one person had to be extricated from the wreckage.

Due to the extent of his condition, Ventura was pronounced dead at the scene. Moreover, three other people were injured. However, their identities are being withheld until their family is properly notified.

According to police, a fifth person who may have been the driver is still being sought. In addition, investigators believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
