Fatal Motorcycle Collision on Kolb and Valencia Roads

TUCSON, AZ (March 2, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, a motorcycle collision along Kolb Road claimed the life of 24-year-old Daniel Paul Lecroy.

Around 2:30 a.m. Lecroy died at the scene after he struck a drainage grate with his red 2007 Kawasaki VN900 motorcycle near the intersection of Kolb and Valencia roads.

For reasons unknown, Lecroy lost control of his motorcycle and was launched from the vehicle before hitting the drainage grate.

According to the initial investigation, the motorcyclist did not wear a helmet at the time of the crash.

The officers believed that impairment played factor in the fatal collision.

Moreover, a portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. However an active investigation is currently ongoing.
