Car Crash on Highway 1 Left Daniel Pablo Duarte Dead

SANTA BARBARA, CA (November 8, 2021) A traffic crash on Highway 1 claimed the life of Daniel Pablo Duarte Sunday evening.

Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to the incident around 5:30 p.m. at the area, north of Jalama.

Consequently, upon arrival, responders discovered a 2005 Chevy Silverado collided with a guardrail and came to a stop after crashing into a tree.

Afterwards, firefighters performed a heavy extrication to remove a man with critical injuries,

Eventually, paramedics transported 37-year-old Daniel Pablo Duarte to Lompoc Valley Medical Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Lompoc authorities are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the deadly traffic crash.
