27-Year-Old Man Dies in Multi-Car Accident near Floral Avenue

FRESNO, CA (November 2, 2021) – 27-year-old Daniel Davis lost his life Monday after a deadly two-vehicle crash on Highway 99.

The fatal crash happened just around 4:00 p.m. October 25, in the northbound lane of Highway 99, north of Floral Avenue.

According to the CHP, Davis stopped his Hyundai in the center median of Highway 99 for unclear reasons when a northbound Ford F250 crashed into the rear of his vehicle.

The Ford’s driver, a 65-year-old Warner Springs man, allegedly braked too late and drove into the median to avoid colliding with traffic that had slowed in front of him.

Davis, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene as a result of the collision.

Meanwhile, authorities have not confirmed if the Ford driver sustained injuries in the incident.

Moreover, CHP did not believe alcohol or drugs were a part in the accident at this time, although there was heavy rain at the time of the mishap.

However, an investigation is currently underway.
