64-Year-Old Rider Killed in Motorcycle Collision near Lake Pleasant Parkway

PEORIA, AZ (June 30, 2023) – Friday night, Daniel Crossett was killed in a motorcycle accident on State Route 74.

Police responded to the scene around 8:45 p.m., near Lake Pleasant Parkway on June 23rd.

According to reports, the driver of a Jeep was heading south on North Lake Pleasant Parkway and began to make a left turn. The Jeep then turned directly in front of a motorcyclist and struck him.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the rider, 64-year-old Crossett, of Black Canyon City dead at the scene.

Furthermore, the driver of the Jeep remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Following preliminary duties, officers do not believe impairment played a factor and no arrests were made.

Emergency crews blocked off the intersection of SR-74 and Lake Pleasant Parkway until around 2:00 a.m. Once available, further details will be provided.
