For the unusual finale to World AIDS Day, UCLA dance, music, spoken word, fashion and visual artists are being given the evening's theme only 48 hours before this show, providing a seriously short window for those creative juices to flow. Organizers in the World Arts & Cultures Department hope the resulting concert, titled 48 Hours to Action, will “affirm healthy sexuality, encourage open communication and underscore the importance of HIV-status awareness.” A statement from campus artists that carries a message to be shared with the larger community.
