L.A. Dance Project releases 12 Variations, an original short film developed, filmed and edited during the Safer at Home quarantine to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Each of LADP’s 12 company dancers performed a variation on a movement, and Artistic Director Benjamin Millepied compiled the movements to create a single work. Filmed by the dancers in their homes, spread out across the city, each performance represents the dancer’s own interpretation of a single shared action. “We wanted to try to capture how connection can be found, even in a time of isolation,” he says of the idea. “We wanted to capture hope.”
