Sixties garage and '70s glam and punk DJ sets amp up ROMPER STOMPER, a newish dance club inside the Gower Gulch in Hollywood. Hosted by Asia Muka (with guest host KROQ's Rodney Bingenheimer), this party promises a spot to spill your “glitter guts” out on the floor, plus live performances from two stompin' good, girl-fronted bands: locals the Wooly Bandits and Australia's Dark Shadows. Hollywood Studio Bar & Grill, 6122 Sunset Blvd., Hlywd.; Fri., April 2; $10. If you're reading this on Thursday, April 1, check out Adam 12's AFEX, which pays special tribute to departed deck dynamo DJ AM (his birthday was this week). Some of the best L.A. club turntablists in town, including Kev E Kev, Stone Rokk, Edski, Mike B and Marshall Barnes, will be “keeping Adam's spirit alive through the music he loved, the music we learned from him and the music that reminds us of him.” A portion of the proceeds will be donated to DJ AM's memorial fund. Temporary Spaces, 4658 Melrose Ave., L.A.; Thurs., April 1. More info at afex-djadam12.blogspot.com.
