Forget about Black Friday — this week we spotlight two clubs sure to be domiciles of darkness and dance (not dollars), both on Saturday night. Club Ruin has been a favorite for L.A.'s most fiendish clubbers for three years now, thanks to a wicked and diverse array of sounds (darkwave, trip-hop, world beat, tribal, synth-pop, dark '80s and dark indie) as selected by promoter DJ Xian. She celebrates this week, inviting guests to “evoke their inner muse” by donning “passionate couture with particular emphasis on lush, saturated hues.” (We bet most will still choose bewitching black!) DJ Baron (Disko.Nekro) joins on the decks of decadence in the main dance room, and Marriah (Club Discipline) slaps up some fetish and erotica in the club's parlor. Monte Cristo, 3100 Wilshire Blvd., L.A. myspace.com/ruinhollywood. Those looking for more live seductions to float on the floor will want to creep over to Rosemead, where Club Debauchery Invades Club Vicious, a goth extravaganza featuring bands Experiment Perilous, Fangs on Fur and Bell Tower Bats, plus DJs Thee Gabe (Release the Bats), Eric Dead and Eser spinning glam, death rock, '80s and punk. Spikes, 7813 Garvey Ave., Rosemead. myspace.com/clubviciousla. Both events, Sat., Nov. 27.
