Part of the Wayans comedy dynasty, Damon Wayans has been returning to his stand-up roots and performing at the Lyric Theater lately. Wayans started his comedic career in the early ‘80s, but most fans know him as the patriarch of ABC’s My Wife and Kids and as cast member of the groundbreaking, early ‘90s sketch show In Living Color, where he popularized such characters as Homey D. Clown, Anton Jackson and finger-snapping, flamboyant gay man Blaine Edwards. Tonight’s 90-minute set is a family affair with the addition of Wayans’ son Damon Wayans Jr. and Jerrod Charmichael.
