Deadly Crash on South Atlantic Boulevard Kills 18-Year-Old Damian Cazares

MONTEREY, CA (October 25, 2021)  18-year-old Damian Cazares died and 1 other sustained injuries after a car crashed into a building on South Atlantic Boulevard Wednesday.

The tragic crash happened around 12:09 a.m., in the 100 block of South Atlantic Boulevard.

According to the CHP, a car carrying two individuals crashed and slammed into a property housing a spa that was closed at the time.

Responding officers located Damian Cazares, 18, of Bloomington dead at the scene.

In the meantime, medics transported another individual with critical injuries to a nearby hospital. However,  authorities have not yet received any update on the victim’s current condition.

An active inquiry is still continuing at this moment. Authorities will update more information when it becomes available.
