10-Year-Old Boy Killed in Dirt Bike Accident near Tarver Way

ARVIN, CA (February 16, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, 10-year-old Damian Ayala lost his life after a dirt bike crash on El Camino Real. The collision occurred on February 2nd, at about 3:45 p.m., along El Camino Real and Tarver Way. According to reports, Ayala was riding a dirt bike in the street. There, a passing truck struck him as he crossed Tarver Way onto El Camino Real. First responders arrived shortly after and rushed to the boy to a local hospital for treatment. There, despite life-saving measures, 10-year-old Damian Ayala of Arvin died from his injuries. Meanwhile, the pickup truck driver remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities. There were no other injuries reported, and police did not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident. An investigation is currently underway. Furthermore, the friends and family of the boy made a GoFundMe page to help with the funeral and other expenses.
