66-Year-Old Man Killed in Wrong-Way Collision near Mile Marker 58

MINERAL COUNTY, NV (June 20, 2022) – Early Monday morning, a fatal DUI crash claimed the life of Dale Galantuomini on U.S. 95.

The incident occurred around 2:40 a.m., on June 6th. Per reports, 37-year-old Jeffrey Neal was driving a 2009 Ford Taurus northbound near mile marker 58.

For reasons unknown, Neal then crossed into the southbound lanes, and struck a white 2004 Honda Civic, driven by Galantuomini, head-on. In addition, Neal was not wearing a seatbelt at the time resulting in serious injuries.

Moreover, medical personnel pronounced 66-year-old Galantuomini dead at the scene. Meanwhile, Neil was taken into Mineral County Jail on June 10th. He is now facing DUI charges causing death, among other charges.

Crews closed both directions of the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
