All you men who love pussy: be ashamed no longer. There is a blog for you. It is called Cute Boys With Cats.

Laura Shull, the girl who created the blog, is a 23-year old art student living in Marietta Georgia. By day she is a quiet, nerdy secretary at a small engineering company. By night, she is just quiet and nerdy. AND she blogs about cats.

Are most of those guys on your blog gay?

Honestly, I couldn't say. I hope there are some boys out there who could enjoy my blog as much as the ladies seem to.

How many photo submissions of guys with cats have you received so far?

So far I've received maybe 35 or so. Many of them have been sent in from the girlfriends of the cute boys. It's funny how the guys who send in their own pictures are usually bashful about submitting their own photos. Maybe men who own cats tend to be more humble than other men? I'm starting to detect a trend.

Do you reject a submission if the boy isn't cute? (Your blog is called “CUTE boys with cats” after all.)

I don't think I've received an ugly one so far! Of course, cuteness is in the eye of the beholder, and just because I might not think a dude is super cute doesn't mean the next kitty-loving lady (or fellow) won't.

Cats are always perceived as a “girl thing.” Why do you think that is?

I'm not quite sure where the stigma came from. Maybe it's the idea of feline being a feminine trait. Any man who thinks he's to 'manly' to own a cat probably wouldn't get along with me, and vice versa. This kind of reminds me of the phenomenon of men who think they have to drive very loud, obnoxious trucks, but I'm just speculating here.

Do you think guys are embarrassed to own cats?

I think some guys are, or maybe they have the idea that cats are fussy. Usually these are guys who have never had a kitty of their own, or maybe they had a traumatizing experience as a child.. who knows. I have converted a few non-cat guys into cat lovers, but it could just be because my cats are awesome. Personally, I prefer cats because they are more independent and like to do their own thing, yet they will still chill with you while you read a book or watch a movie. Plus, they clean themselves!

Do you have a cat?

Yes indeed! Stinky Jake (Stinky Pants, the Stink, etc.) and Zoe. Jake has a penchant for pooping on any clothes left lying on the floor, so one might imagine where he received his pseudonym. Zoe, on the other hand, is a classy, reserved lady who likes to pose upside down, hoping for compliments and/or treats.

Do you personally know a lot of men who own cats? Or maybe the question should be, single men who own cats?

No, I haven't met many, at least where I live. Not until I started the blog. A lot of single men seem to live together, so maybe it has something to do with the perception of cat ownership as a “girly thing.”

Assuming you are straight (and if you are not, you can answer in a hypothetical sense), all other things being equal, who would you be more attracted to: a single cute guy who owned a dog? Or a single cute guy who owned a cat?

Something about a guy who unabashedly loves his cat just gets me. There seems to be a kind of mutual understanding between people who prefer cats over dogs. Like an unspoken pact. I am getting too philosophical here. What I mean to say is, I tend to get along better with cat people, so I would most likely go for the dude with the puss (teehee).
