The Roxy is the place to be tonight is Los Angeles, for sure, and not just because of the Dead Weather show. Yes, Jack White and Allison Mossheart's new project is one of the most discussed new collaborations in rock, and lots of people are excited. But immediately following their thing, which has a set time of 8:45, another totally cool show is happening at the Roxy, one that's bound to cause some sort of rockers versus ravers friction.

To wit: Scion's presenting a four-DJ bill of new UK dubstep from from Zomby, Joker, MC Nomad, two of whom are labelmates on the hot hot Hyperdub imprint, home to Burial and Kode9. Rounding out the bill will be LA-based 12th Planet. Considering how lamely Dopplereffekt was received at last month's Scion party at the Roxy, West Coast Sound is a little worried that Dead Weather testosterone might drown out the dubsteppers, especially considering this is a free show.

Rest assured West Coast Sound will be at the Roxy for the entire night. We'll report back i the morning.
