Long Beach's Crystal Antlers aren't afraid to smash it up. Their 2009 album Tentacles harnessed the thrashing energy and soulful breakdowns that the band so easily broadcast during their frenetic live shows. The band took a break from its relentless tour schedule to lay low in Mexico for a while, holing up in a makeshift recording studio in a barn 100 miles south of the border. The songs from those session haven't been heard, until now. Following the latest trend of branded content, Crystal Anters teamed up with Incase to record live versions of their new songs in a downtown L.A. space called Room 205.
