Pedestrian Accident on Highway 184 Left Lamont Woman Dead

KERN COUNTY, CA (June 27, 2022) – A pedestrian crash on Weedpatch Highway claimed the life of 49-year-old Corina Aguilar Monday evening.

According to the police, the accident happened around 10:00 p.m., on the southbound Highway 184.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to reports of a driver traveling at least 55 mph that struck a woman who stepped into the traffic lanes for unknown reasons.

First responders arrived and declared the pedestrian, identified as Aguilar, dead at the scene after suffering fatal injuries.

Meanwhile, officials said the involved driver, Enrique Torres and his passenger, Rosa Cabrera, remained uninjured.
