Cops say they've arrested a man wanted in connection with a super-creepy rape in which a vehicle rigged with a passenger door that could not be opened was used in an attack on a woman contacted through a social networking site.

Corey Delaine Stewart has been charged in connection with the rape, Gardena police announced yesterday. The 40-year-old, they said, was connected to the crime through DNA evidence.

The attack happened …

… last Thursday in Gardena, cops said. The victim reported that she met the suspect through a site called and agreed to meet up because he had allegedly promised her a job interview, authorities said.

Gardena police:

Once in Stewart's vehicle, he drove the victim to a residential neighborhood in Gardena and raped the victim at gun point. The victim described Stewart's vehicle as an early 2000 model black Ford Explorer.

According to the victim, the car was set up so that the passenger could not exit. The door handles and locking devices were disabled. The victim also described the front passenger seat as being able to recline to a fully flat position.

Detectives fear a couple things now: That Stewart might have allegedly had an accomplice who has used the same SUV, and that there might be other victims out there.

Stewart, a Redondo Beach resident, is 5 feet, 9 inches, 265 pounds. Know anything? Call Det. Michael Ross at (310) 217-9635.

Stewart, by the way, was jailed in lieu of $1 million bail.
