Major Injury Reported after Pedestrian Accident on South Bradley Road

ORCUTT, CA (July 9, 2021)Cooper Wood sustained injuries Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle on South Bradley Road in Orcutt.

The accident happened just before 9:30 p.m. on July 4, in the 4100 block of South Bradley Road. Officers arrived just south of Parkland Drive.

According to the CHP, Nathan Fish, was driving a 1995 Ford F-150 truck northbound on South Bradley Road in the left lane. There, Wood ran directly into the path of the truck, for unknown reasons.

Emergency crews airlifted Cooper Wood to Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara after suffering serious injuries, which included a head injury and upper body lacerations.

Meanwhile, the driver remained and cooperated with the officials.

Authorities currently do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role. However, an active investigation is still underway.
