Saturday morning at 11 a.m., Premiere Props will be hosting a massive prop and costume auction that will be broadcast live on its site. The centerpiece of the auction is the collection of items from Resident Evil: Afterlife, including what Dan Levine of Premiere described as “hero props,” items that were worn or used by Milla Jovavich's character, Alice.

“We've been working on this auction for the last year,” says Levine, “starting with Resident Evil, working directly with Constantin Film and Sony.”

They have been promoting the auction for months, with Sony displaying the items at Comic-Con, both in the convention and at the Hard Rock Hotel. Premiere has also spent the last eight months working with Quentin Tarantino and others to bring a nice selection of pieces from Inglourious Basterds to the auction table.

We headed to Premiere Props earlier this week to check out the selection of collectibles, which also includes pieces from Battlestar Galactica, Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Star Wars. Here are a few of the finds.

There are a lot of interesting items from the latest film in the Resident Evil franchise, including Axeman's axe, the “umbrella nuke bomb” and Alice's weapons, along with her catsuit and corset.

“Anything that [Alice] wears or holds close to her, that's in huge demand right now,” says Levine of the pre-auction buzz.

Like Resident Evil: Afterlife, there's a hefty selection of pieces from Quentin Tarantino's latest film, including Shosanna Dreyfus' red dress and Sgt. Donny

Donowitz's tuxedo. The coolest piece of memorabilia, though, has to be Sgt. Donowitz's glove gun.

Star Wars

For those who can't get enough Star Wars, the photo above is from Return of the Jedi. It's an unfinished surface section of the Death Star cast from the original molds. There's also an original tape from the set of A New Hope featuring interviews with Mark Hamill, Alec Guiness and Harrison Ford as well as behind-the-scenes footage.

For fans of the original Battlestar Galactica series, auction items include a child's wrist communicator, illustrations from the show and story boards.

Sherman Labby was a well-known storyboard artist who worked on such films as Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Blade Runner and Bram Stoker's Dracula. Included in the auction is his original conceptual art from Invasion of the Body Snatchers as well as brown line preservation piece from Blade Runner given to him by artist Mentor Huebner.

The auction will feature multiple motorcycles used in The Book of Eli. Each one is a custom job that took months to create.
