69-Year-Old Killed in Pedestrian Crash near Guerneville Road

SANTA ROSA, CA (February 21, 2022) – 69-year-old Constantino Zamudio Calderon was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing Marlow Road.

According to Santa Rosa Police, the crash occurred around 6 p.m. on February 18th near Guerneville Road.

Based on preliminary investigation, police said Calderon was crossing Marlow in a south-west direction when a Cadillac sedan struck him, just east of the driveway to Safeway.

The Cadillac’s windshield shattered on the driver’s side as a result.

Upon responding to the scene, paramedics treated Calderon after he sustained a head injury.

They eventually took him to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where later died due to the extent of his injuries.

The driver of the Cadillac remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Field sobriety tests showed he was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol when the incident occurred.
