ComplexCon is on this weekend. The curated festival spotlights fandom, figures and trends representing  drop-driven shopping for kicks, toys, clothing and food. The concept event via Complex mag  gathers these crowds all in one place and hopes to do for merch drops and lifestyle, what ComicCon and Vidcon do for entertainment and influencers. ComplexCon also attracts all these contingents, especially the ones who don’t mind waiting in long lines for the latest. Expect two days of merch hype, panels and performances, including music by A$AP Rocky, A-Trak, Little Yachty (DJ set) and many more. J Baldwin and Kristen Noel Crawley host.

Potential highlights: artist Danny Cole’s Creature World Experience (sharing space in collaboration with popular underground NYC brand Advisry) featuring an inflatable bounce-house/slide inspired environment; Amazon Prime’s activation for their anti-superhero show The Boys and their new L.A.-based animated series Fairfax (which explores this culture via Fairfax Ave.’s hot shop scene), a Saucony x Trinidad Jame$ collab, Funko GOLD vinyl figure collectables and much more.

If you’re concerned about the crowds, take note that ComplexCon clearly take COVID-19 guidelines seriously. Everyone will need to provide proof of full vaccination or a negative rapid antigen or PCR lab COVID-19 test before entering the event via a Health & Safety Will Call entry and they encourage attendees to be prepared by downloading the ComplexCon app for smooth entry. It connects to wristbands unlocking drops and exclusives, making reservations and navigating the convention center. At Long Beach Convention Center, 300 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach. Sat., Nov. 6-Sun., Nov. 7. Tickets and info here.
