You have to sit down for this because there’s a lot to unpack! There will be no shortage of exciting events that are coming in 2023. This year has a lot of blockbusters to show, songs to stream, and future events that will go down in history.

We can’t round up every single one of them but here are a few significant ones.

What to Look Forward to This 2023

Walt Disney Company Celebrates 100 Years

The “Disney 100 Years of Wonder” is a year-long celebration. This February 18, you might be able to take a glimpse of The Walt Disney Archives exhibits, “The Wonder of Disney from 1923 to the Present and into the Future” at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia.

The Walt Disney Company will also have a new film logo (and rendition of “When You Wish Upon a Star”) for their 2023 films. There will also be new merchandise and snacks in their parks. Last but not least, more films and musicals!

Rihanna’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

Whether you’re a “Navy” or not, you know Badgal RiRi’s comeback is one of the most talked about events set to happen this 2023. You’d think Rihanna would be busy juggling life as a new mom and an entrepreneur managing her business, Fenty Beauty, but the Bajan singer is ready to return to the stage — but not just any other stage, it’s the State Farm Stadium for the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show; Super Bowl LVII will take place on February 12.

The Coronation of King Charles

The UK and the rest of the world witnessed the rise of a new monarch. After Queen Elizabeth II’s passing, many eagerly waited for the King’s ascension to the throne — and the 6th of May is when Charles III and Camilla, the Queen Consort will succeed the crowns.

The 25th Anniversary of Titanic

It’s been 25 years since we first heard old Rose say that “It’s been 84 years,” but we all know that the Titanic is way more than an internet meme — it’s a James Cameron masterpiece. The film’s premiere will turn 25 years old this 2023. Thus, a 3D 4K HDR version of the film is set to be released before Valentine’s Day this year.

Even though it’s been that long, many of us will never get tired of watching the Titanic. Even though we all also still want to know why Jack didn’t just try to get himself to fit in at the door. Even Leonardo DiCaprio himself thought about it, too!

Other Upcoming Movies

There are hundreds of movies that are coming in 2023 — from action movies like Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and John Wick: Chapter 4, to horror and thriller movies like M3gan and Scream 6.

Chris Pratt is also one you can anticipate seeing on the big screen this year for his role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. But you should probably get ready because Magic Mike’s Last Dance will hit the theaters this February. Let’s not forget Margot Robbie’s take on the ultimate Malibu girl as “Barbie,” in, of course, Barbie.

Anticipated Albums and Comebacks

We might be hearing a lot from our favorite artists this year — so make sure you have enough space to download more Spotify albums. Though almost none of the artists confirmed a date (or even year, to some) yet, you can watch out for the comebacks of Beyoncé, Cardi B, Gorillaz, Frank Ocean, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, and many more.

Lana del Rey’s also going to be back with an album titled, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd; Depeche Mode seems to still enjoy blessing the fans even after decades have passed — their Memento Mori album is anticipated to be released this March

California Makes Minimum Wage Higher

California employees have a reason to celebrate this year — California (and some other states) can enjoy the $15.50 minimum hourly income starting this 2023. If you live in the Golden Coast, you can enjoy the extra $1.50/hour or $12/day (if you work a 9-5 type of job).

Overall

There are hundreds and thousands of notable events that are coming in 2023. Watch out for upcoming movies and albums to be released this year — your favorite artists may just drop a hit without any of the fans knowing. Make sure to also tune in to reliable media in case a new affair or government law can benefit or inconvenience you.

Above all, enjoy 2023!
