Head-On Collision near Spyrock Road Injured 35-Year-Old Man

LAYTONVILLE, CA (April 13 2022) – Monday, 35-year-old Cody Sanderson sustained injuries after a head-on collision along US Route 101.

The accident happened just south of Spyrock Road, when Sanderson was traveling in a semi-truck on April 11th.

For reasons still unknown, the driver of a Nissan Titan crossed over the center divider and collided head-on with Sanderson’s truck.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported Cody Sanderson to Adventist Health Howard Memorial Hospital for further treatment of unspecified injuries.

Meanwhile, both directions of the roadway were temporarily closed to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. Authorities have not released further information regarding the incident at this time.
