Multiple news outlets are reporting that on Saturday morning, inmates at an Orange County prison found cockroaches in their food. Fortunately for California prisoners and their families, this roach infestation took place in the other Orange County, in Florida.

While the Associated Press and the Orlando Sentinel wrote that there were “bugs” found in the prison food, local Orlando news source WFTV.com spoke with one of the inmate's mother, who told them she spoke with her son and, “He said, I just got a roach as an appetizer on my lunch.”

The Orlando Sentinel, meanwhile, spoke with Orange County Jail representative Allen Moore, who informed the paper that their prison is a top-rated facility, and that this was an isolated incident. Said Moore, “No jail is pleasant to be in, but if you have to be in one, this is the one to be in.”

The meals were prepared off-site by Trinity Food Service, which is claiming that the source of the critters was actually the delivery truck, which has been cleaned, and is set to be fumigated. The prison meals, according to WFTV, cost $0.84.
