Dennis RomeroCops received the old hooligans' greeting from angry douches who were shut out of a capacity club in Hollywood Friday night.
Officers called to reports of overcrowded conditions at Avalon Hollywood about midnight were met with rocks, bottles and debris, prompting them to call for backup and to suit-up in riot gear, according to ABC7 and police.
A Los Angeles fire official said inspectors went to the historic venue at 1735 N. Vine St. to check on possible overcrowding at 11 p.m.
A strange human element was on display: Folks who really wanted to get into a club (some of whom would surely have given the bouncers a $20 handshake) but would somehow rather get arrested. About 100 cops reportedly ended up at the scene near Hollywood Boulevard.
This event attracted 2,000 people to Avalon Hollywood.
In fact, at least seven tards suspects ended up in handcuffs, police said.
No serious injuries were reported.
One police official called the situation a “typical Hollywood club strategy to make money.”
DJ-driven entertainment for the evening, called “Control,” included the act Dada Life.
