Neon Ray-Ban’d electro-heads read no further — this week our picks are strictly for the punk and rockabilly vamps. Friday, the monthly freak fest known as Rock ’n’ Roll Cabaret celebrates one year in the club biz with its usual mix of burlesque babes and boogie, and since it’s their b-day, some band biggies, too (the always-scorching Lords of Altamont). Bumpin’ beauties Kitten De Ville, Victoria Vengeance, La Cholita and Sienna Sinclaire are sure to be quite a sight, but the DJs here — including this week’s guest Jay Smalls (Red Cavalier) — always seem to inspire sexy moves on the dance floor, too. Vertigos, 801 Temple St., dwntwn; Fri., March 27. www.rocknrollcabaret.com. The following night, it’ll be more big beats from Badsville, as Club Vicious’ “Lux for Life” night honors recently departed grind god Lux Interior. DJs B@ST@RD, ESER and guest Brando Von Badsville will spin punk, goth, glam and loads o’ the Cramps — and bands will be doing Cramps-inspired cuts and covers. The Scene, 806 E. Colorado Blvd., Glendale; Sat., March 28. www.myspace.com/clubviciousla.
