The “ambassador of the Great American Songbook” is back, taking the stage with friends and luminaries at his home away from home in Studio City. We’re talking about Michael Feinstein, who has clubs in New York and San Francisco, and as of this past summer, L.A. too via the upper level of Vitello’s restaurant. The supper club will present performers doing lounge, standards and jazz over the next few days, including recording artist Melissa Manchester, Will & Grace’s Eric McCormack, and film and TV legend Dick Van Dyke (with a special appearance by Peter Marshall). Van Dyke is as revered for his singing as he is for his acting, but McCormack’s no slouch in the crooning department either. Known for his TV acting work, the star also enjoyed time on the Broadway stage in musicals such as The Music Man, and locally in a revival of The Fantasticks. He even wrote and sang a song called “Living with Grace” for the 2004 Will & Grace soundtrack album, which featured piano from none other than Barry Manilow. Expect Feinstein’s famous friends to shine on and off stage for this slate of L.A. dates.

Michael Feinstein and friends at Vitello’s, 4349 Tujunga Blvd., Studio City; tonight through Sun., Nov. 10. Doors at 6:30 p.m., Show at 8 p.m. Full schedule at feinsteinsatvitellos.com
