What inspired Swisshtech and Arc-regen was Orrett’s dedication to improving customer satisfaction in his daily construction and interior remodeling job. Driven by noise and smoke complaints about the combustion generator he would use, Orrett began working on an alternative solution. From purchasing an old generator from a yard sale to replacing the combustion model with an electric motor and locking all essential elements in a relatively compact machine, Orrett unknowingly built what later became Arc-regen’s first prototype.
This experience helped Orrett realize the tremendous benefits and demand for carbon-free generators, inspiring him to begin the professional development process, which has lasted for nearly five years. Now, fueled by a team of experts, a successful crowdfunding initiative, and global endorsement of organizations, including Beyoncé Knowles’ BeyGood Foundation, Arc-regen is expected to be released in the coming months, carrying a promise of a better tomorrow.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica and later migrating to Southeast America, Orrett witnessed the immense demand for reliable energy sources firsthand, experiencing region-wide power outages due to frequent storms. “People in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and other states in the region struggle with energy access. Though technology is constantly improving, there is still no consistent, easily accessible, and cost-efficient remedy,” he adds.
More than addressing residential everyday needs, Arc-regen also eradicates the factor of carbon monoxide poisoning. With no primary fuel source and relying entirely on electricity it produces, this carbon-free power generator minimizes the risk of this odorless, invisible, and often deadly gas, significantly improving the safety of residents. Moreover, by propelling the continuous cycle of energy renewal, Arc-regen exponentially reduces the cost of energy.
