16-Year-Old Girl Killed in Tesla Crash near Bristol Gate Lane

MENIFEE, CA (January 16, 2023) – Sunday night, Clarissa Lewis was killed and four were hurt in a single-car collision on Old Newport Road.

The deadly incident happened around 6:26 p.m., just east of Bristol Gate Lane in the city of Menifee.

Per reports, the driver of an eastbound Tesla lost control and struck a curb on Old Newport Road. The Tesla then left the roadway and struck a tree and a brick wall.

Medical personnel arrived and declared one passenger dead at the scene. The coroner’s office later identified the deceased victim as 16-year-old Lewis, of Menifee.

Two other people suffered from significant injuries, and one suffered moderate injuries. A fourth party also sustained minor injuries. Paramedics transported all patients to a regional trauma center for treatment.

At this time, Menifee Officials are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the solo-vehicle crash.
